1990: Tina Turner look-a-like

How did I get here?

Life began in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset in England and, after moving around various Air Force bases in England for a few years, most of my childhood and teenage years were spent happily in Devon. There I visited Plympton Grammar School, as it was called then. Once my schooling was finished I started to work at Midland Bank.

A move to Norwich in Norfolk in 1981 meant a new start and the beginning of my computer era. I was employed by several different companies before learning bookkeeping and working in the accounts department of the Pointer Motor Company, where I worked for four years

1987 brought another change to my life when, feeling that I was missing something, I left my job and my appartment and set off for a tour around Europe. Driving through France and Italy the tour ended for a while in Greece mainland and then the island of Crete. It was there where I met my now ex-husband and after spending several weeks either enjoying the sun or working in the Jetee cocktail bar it was time to get back to the real world again.

Not wishing to return to England we travelled north to Hannover, Germany the home town of my ex-husband where I have stayed ever since. My three children Mike, Kevin and Natalie kept me busy alongside running a club house and working for Astro Squash Centre.

My time at Astro will always stay in my memory as being very special. Not only was it great fun working there, it was there where I met the absolute love of my life, my very best friend, my husband.

A very bumby ride over a period of four years was a seemingly never-ending test of the strength of our relationship. During this time Albert and I learned that we were destined to be together and what an unbeatable team we are! Whether re-decorating the house, persuing our hobbies or writing complicated letters for courts we do everything together; working as a team and complementing each other perfectly to achieve our targets.

The turbulance of those years taught us much about each other and the meaning of "for better and for worse" and, as soon as we were free from court battles, Albert asked me to marry him.

In September 2006 we had our wonderful wedding with the sun shining down on us all - proof indeed that Happy Ends do happen!

With four children in the house, our work, our websites and our hobbies our days are always very full but we enjoy it all and are very happy with the knowledge that we made the right decision.

A browse through our galleries or a read through the stories will show more about our life.
